Course Breakdown:

We will meet with students on a weekly basis to assist them with organizing their schedules. We’ll help them manage their tests, assignments, extracurricular activities, sports, and social events. We’ll also work on time management to prevent procrastination, which can lead to anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. By organizing students weekly, we can help ensure their success by setting clear goals for each day and hour. In just 30 minutes, we can set them on a path for success for the week. If time allows, we can also help organize their backpacks, ensuring all materials are in the appropriate place and getting rid of any unnecessary items.

Follow-Up:

We suggest attending several Weekly Organization sessions to ensure that best practices are being followed. Research indicates that it takes about two months, on average, for practices to become habits. By taking part in multiple sessions, we can help these practices become habits that will benefit students both now and in the future. Student/Parent Obligations:

• Arrive 5 minutes before the start of the course. Being late disrupts the class for all students.
• Students will wait in the lobby until the instructor brings them to the classroom. Only enrolled students are allowed in the class. Other guests must wait in the lobby.
• Parents are expected to pick up students on time. A fee of $5.00 per minute will be charged for late pickups.
• Please do not send your child to Academic Edge if they are not feeling well. If they miss school due to illness, they should not attend class. Additionally, students should be free of fever for 24 hours without medication before coming to class.
•  If students are disruptive and do not respond to redirection, they may be removed from the class without a refund.
